I started my first job out of college during quarantine and it’s been a little bit more than 3 months working from home. For me, it has been a lonely experience – I often imagine what it’s like small talking with coworkers walking down the hall in the office to get coffee, being with the people who sit around to my cubicle, or having team happy hours after work and getting to know each other on a more personal level. While I’m happy about not having to commute and not having to turn on my camera during meetings, I look forward to the day when I can meet my coworkers instead of guessing what they look like based on their professional headshots, and knowing them at a more personal level instead of jumping from one call to another without a break in between.
