I work as a research technician in a Cell Biology/Immunology lab. My job is usually very active and I am used to being constantly having my hands as well as my mind occupied with experiments. At the beginning of the pandemic, it felt like everything screeched to a halt. I was unable to do any experiments, but instead had to focus on reading, researching, and planning the future of my project. Even though I lost some time physically being in the lab, I think quarantine forced me to gain more focus and direction, and a better foundation in the theoretical aspects of my work.
